Joell Ortiz Interview

New Jay-Z Track

Retirement? Nah...Jay is back with another track entitled "Ain't I" off of a supposed Blueprint 3 album. Perhaps he feels he needs redemption from American Gangster, which STILL hasn't gone platinum. This track was produced by none other than Timbaland who's been on that heat lately. Reading across message boards, the track has been given mixed reviews - the usual suspects that say he's too old to rap and the others who will forever support Jay. Is he back? You Decide...
Jay-Z - Ain't I

Why Isn't Dominique Wilkins regarded as one of the greatest players Ever

Known best for his dazzling highlights and superb nickname - "The Human Highlight Film" - Dominique Wilkins was a very good all-around player and one of the best scorers of all-time.In his prime, Wilkins averaged close to 30 PPG, grabbed about 7 RPG, and added in a few assists and a couple of steals. He could dunk over anyone, he had a decent jump shot, and he was able to use his athleticism to get to the line.

Never was this more evident than in 1986 through 1988. At that point, he didn't have a great jumpshot (18.6%, 29.2%, and 29.5% from behind the 3-point in those years), but he was almost scoring at will. In 1986 he led the league with 30.3 PPG, in 1987 he was 2nd at 29.0 PPG, and in 1988 he was 2nd with 30.7 PPG. Some guy named Michael Jordan led the league in 1987 and 1988.

For his career, he finished at 24.8 PPG, but from age 25-34 Wilkins was consistently in the high 20s/low 30s. Rebounding the ball was not his strong suit, but he did averaged almost 7 a game for his career, topping out at 9.0 in 1991. But when you're as good as he was offensively, you didn't need to do a whole lot in other areas to be considered a very good player.

All in all, because of his athleticism, scoring ability, and the fact that he was able to do his part in other areas of the game should lands him as one of the best players ever in the NBA. No, he never got past the conference semifinals, but I find that hard to hold against him since basketball is, after all, a team sport. I feel as if he was never fully in the spotlight due to being around in Magic and early Jordan era, sort of how T Mac was the man before injuries but never was as popular as Kobe.

According to court documents, he estimates he has $875,000 in monthly expenses, which includes $110,505 on monthly vacations; $60,417 on gifts; $23,950 on clothes, dry cleaning and laundry; $46,500 on child care; $24,300 on gas and oil for four vehicles; $12,775 on food; and $468,345 on three home mortgages. On top of that, O'Neal pays nearly $500,000 a month in income taxes.

In the court documents dated Jan. 16, O'Neal itemized a list of expenses as massive as his 7-1, 325-pound frame. O'Neal, who earns $20 million a season from the Heat, said he brings in $1.6 million a month in basketball salary in addition to roughly $220,000 from business investments.

Snoop From The Wire Caught Up In Some More Real Drama

Felicia Pearson did time for murder, then went on to play a hitman named "Snoop" on The Wire. Now she finds herself caught up in another real-life killing - this time as a witness.

Authorities say she watched Steven James Lashley stab three men, killing one, after an argument that began outside New York Fried Chicken on The Block in the fall of 2005.

"I'm planning on calling her as a witness for the prosecution," Assistant State's Attorney Twila Driggins told The Sun's Melissa Harris this week, as the case was postponed. "I expect her to be able to identify the stabber, give details of the fight prior to the stabbing and the murder itself."

Pearson, who declined to comment to Harris, pleaded guilty in 1996 to second-degree murder for fatally shooting Okia "Kia" Toomer during a fight in Baltimore. She was sentenced to eight years in prison.

Wire creator David Simon told Harris that he didn't know many details of the case. "I remember that she spoke to [co-producer] Ed Burns about it and indicated that the argument had nothing or little to do with her and that she did not know those involved," Simon wrote by e-mail from Dublin, Ireland. "She told us that she had been questioned by the police at length and she was in no way charged or implicated or in trouble."

Dame Dash Mr. Untouchable Releases Today

Hip hop entrepreneur Damon Dash says he has identified with Leroy "Nicky" Barnes since the 1970s--when he was a kid in Harlem, where Barnes' crime syndicate ran the drug trade. Barnes is the central character in filmmaker Marc Levin's new documentary, Mr. Untouchable--the moniker given to Barnes by the New York Times Magazine, when it ran a cover story on the gangster.

Back then, we all wanted to be Nicky Barnes," says Dash, who is one of the producers of Mr. Untouchable. "He was the king of style and swagger, and he was a great businessman. Drugs was just another business in Harlem--that's the way it was. A fact of life. But when Nicky ratted out his partners, he broke the code. Everything changed--there was no organization, the streets was wild."

Dash attributes the origins of gangsta rap and hip hop style--the basis of his very successful Damon Dash Enterprises--to Barnes' influence. "E'rybody still wanted to be Nicky--the godfather--running our businesses the way he did. And we wanted his swagger," says Dash. "Harlem sets style for the world--in Tokyo and Paris, everywhere, e'ryone follows Harlem's style."

No doubt Nicky Barnes is part of Harlem's History, as Dash points out. But he was a heinous criminal who dealt drugs, murdered rivals, hooked and killed his clients. So, does Mr. Untouchable deserve the career replay he's now getting? While documentary films can cover any and every subject, and this film's insider glimpse at Harlem's underworld is quite fascinating, it would be a shame if youngsters who're now the age Dash was when he was so influenced by Barnes were to assume an attitude of reverence towards Harlem's notorious gangster. Mr Untouchable doesn't exactly glorify Barnes, but it doesn't quite comdemn him either.

The DVD releases today so go to your local best buy or blockbuster and get it.

Throwback Video Of The Day

Disabled Boy Tea Bagged In School. Bully's Puts Taped Attack On Web

The seven-second video clip is short but sickening: A boy sprawled on the floor of a school classroom struggles to get up as a bigger boy pounces on his head (tea bagged).

Laughing maniacally into the camera, the fully clothed attacker repeatedly rubs his crotch on his victim's head, which is jammed face-down into the floor. As the youth finishes his assault, the cell phone camera pans jerkily away, showing several people - including an adult-sized figure - standing nearby. Gereka Bracey, of Logan, was horrified to find the grainy, black-and-white video clip on her son's MySpace page this week. But her horror grew to outrage when she found that the victim in the video was her son - 12-year-old Diontay Boone - and that the video had been maliciously posted on Diontay's own MySpace page by his attackers after they persuaded the mentally and physically disabled boy to give them his password. The videographer also posted the clip on YouTube.

The humiliating clip capped five months of torment that started in September with bullies' dubbing Diontay "dummy-slow" and escalated to near-daily taunting, schoolyard assaults and the theft of Diontay's winter coat on a recent frigid, snowy day. But the bullies who posted their ambush online crossed the line, a furious Bracey said yesterday.

"It really bothers me because not only did they do this to my son, but they victimize him again and again and again every time anybody views that video," said Bracey, who also reported the incident to the Police Department's special victims unit. School district spokesman Fernando Gallard said the two eighth-graders responsible for the Dec. 4 assault at the Thurgood Marshall School, in Olney, have been suspended and may face additional discipline pending the outcome of a district investigation.

"We would consider this to be cyber-bullying," Gallard said, adding that the students also violated school rules prohibiting electronic devices in classrooms. The science teacher who was in the classroom when the attack occurred has been removed from teaching duties and may face disciplinary action, Gallard said.

"We see a failure to supervise. We are investigating whether the teacher was paying attention or not," Gallard said. Diontay will be permitted to transfer schools, he added. While Bracey welcomed such measures, she complained that they were woefully overdue and came after months of indifference to her pleas for help.

"I've been out to the school at least 10 times, when he's been beat or harassed," Bracey said. "But I know it happened way more than that - Tay-Tay got so adjusted to being harassed at school that he don't come home and tell me no more, because after awhile, he got harassed for his mother coming to school too." Diontay doesn't like to talk about the bullying, saying only that he believes that he's victimized because "they bigger than me."

Diontay, - known as "Tay-Tay" to his family - spent his early grades in Virginia. He was a special-education student diagnosed as mildly mentally retarded, autistic and partially deaf. His public school in Virginia provided hearing-assistance devices and tailored lessons to accommodate his mental deficiencies, helping him make the honor roll last year, Bracey said.

When the family relocated to Philadelphia last year, Bracey wanted Diontay placed at the Pennsylvania School for the Deaf in Germantown but said she had been told that he wasn't "deaf enough." Gallard said he couldn't comment on Diontay's disabilities or placement, for privacy reasons. But Linda Williams, executive director of the district's Office of Specialized Services, said every school has a hearing therapist.

Hearing-impaired students generally are placed where their needs can be met; for example, Abraham Lincoln High School and Joseph Leidy School, an elementary school, have entire wings devoted to deaf students.

At Thurgood Marshall, Diontay struggles academically, because he doesn't get needed support, Bracey said. The seventh-grader functions at a second-grade level, she said. Principal Edward Penn couldn't be reached yesterday for comment.

The family has been working with St. Christopher's Hospital for Children to get the hearing-aid devices Diontay needs, but insurance paperwork and bureaucratic snafus have kept the gear out of their hands, she added. Diontay's abuse at the hands of thuggish classmates only made his school struggles more painful, his mother said.

She has considered sending him back to Virginia to live with relatives to escape his school problems here. "He's just very vulnerable," Bracey said. "He wants to just be friends with everybody, and they take advantage of that." It's wrong." *

You can visit Diontay Boone on his myspace page. I checked it and the cops must of removed the video clip from there

23 arrested in W. Phila. High 'turf' brawl

A large student fight over "turf" at the troubled West Philadelphia High School led to the arrest of 23 students and minor injuries to two police officers, officials said. "The school went into lockdown," said Fernando Gallard, spokesman for the school district, adding that at least two students face suspension and others are likely to be suspended as the investigation unfolds.

The disturbance comes while the school's new principal is trying to control serious assaults that generated large concern last year. It also comes at a time when juvenile gang violence appears to be on the rise. Officials said yesterday they are taking a close look at those involved with the brawl and the motive.

"We're going to determine whether it's organized gangs or just groups of kids brawling," said Capt. Charles Bloom of the Criminal Intelligence Unit, which investigates gang activity and responded to yesterday's incident.

Police spokeswoman Officer Tanya Little said police were called to the school at 4700 Walnut St. shortly before 11 a.m. over a "turf" fight between students from West Philadelphia and Southwest Philadelphia. During the melee, two officers received minor injuries and at least 23 students were arrested on disorderly conduct and assault charges, police said.

Outside the high school yesterday afternoon, a woman who declined to give her name said the incident was "a shame on the school district," adding that students there to learn are worried about being jumped and beat up. Gallard said the incident started as a "mutual" fight on the second floor between two students, meaning both agreed to fight each other. The two students, a 17-year-old 11th-grader and a 16-year-old ninth-grader, were then brought to the discipline office.

While the two students were in the office, Gallard said others tried to force their way into the office to confront one of the students. At that time both students were with a police officer assigned to the high school.

That officer called for assistance, prompting numerous cars to respond for backup and resulting in a large police presence. The school was in lockdown for 40 minutes during the height of the chaos. Gallard said he did not know what the fight was about.

Police said the brawl may have been the result of a dispute that started at 9 a.m. between two students that led to another fight, with the situation escalating through the morning. Lt. John Walker of Southwest Detectives said it does not appear that the fight is gang-related, but rather, "it's just a bunch of bullies."

West Philadelphia High School was the scene of major disruption last year after a rash of teacher assaults. The principal was replaced, and chaos continued as a series of small fires were set in the building. The school also had two small fires set last week.

Earlier this month, several West Philadelphia High School students were involved in an incident in which two girls were slashed while they waited at a bus stop at 48th and Spruce Streets, about two blocks from the school.

But Pat O'Hara, a teacher and union representative at the high school, said the overall environment at the school has improved this year and that the administration handled yesterday's incident well. "The thing that people seemed to like is that they're really taking a strong stance against kids who are doing the wrong thing. Hopefully, we'll see less and less as the year goes on," he said.

O'Hara said there hasn't been any organized gang activity at the school, but that students who belong to different street groups sometimes fight. "This is more neighborhood stuff than gang stuff," he said.

Sorry to say it but Im from West Philly but me, Will Smith, Wilt Chamberlain and others attended the great Overbrook High School in West Philadelphia and not West Philadelphia High.

Suge Knight Not Allowed In Compton

City officials asked a judge to ban members of the Mob Piru street gang from being able to congregate in a neighborhood of Compton - and asked that the order include Marion "Suge" Knight.

The co-founder of Death Row Records was one of 200 people the officials said were members of Mob Piru. The injunction would ban them from congregating, carrying guns, drinking alcohol in public or staying out past 10 p.m.

Knight called the injunction a "publicity stunt."

"This is crazy," Knight told the Los Angeles Times in Thursday's editions. "I'm a 42-year-old businessman, not a gang member. I don't even live in Compton anymore."

A hearing on the matter was to be held Thursday.

Although such injunctions are a common anti-gang tactic in southern California, this is the first time one has been sought in Compton, a city less than 10 miles south of downtown Los Angeles that announced a gang crackdown two years ago.

Mob Piru members have gained notoriety for their alleged links to Knight and Death Row, once home to artists such as Tupac Shakur and Snoop Dogg.

As far as rap goes, Jigga is almost platinum, Kanye is almost 2x plat, 50 Cent is at 1.2 mil, Soulja Boy has sold over 700k, Common went gold, Timbaland is plat, Plies is over 400k, Lupe & Bow Wow & Omarion are over 250k.

Lil Wayne Update

Just three days after Lil Wayne was arrested, upon being stopped at a Border Patrol Checkpoint in southwest Arizona, the rapper has been formally charged with felony drug and weapon charges in a Arizona courtroom today (Jan. 25).

According to the Associated Press, Lil Wayne (real name Dwayne Michael Carter Jr.) was charged with one count each of possession of a narcotic drug for sale, possession of dangerous drugs, misconduct involving weapons as well as one count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

A preliminary hearing has been set for Feb. 12 with Lil Wayne free on bail, after a judge lifted a bail restriction allowing Wayne to leave the state.

“He is very concerned about the charges,” says Wayne’s attorney, James Tilson. “He absolutely will be present at his next court date."

Expected to appear at his sold out show at the Landmark Theater in Richmond, VA tonight, Cortez Bryant (Lil Wayne's manager) told Virginia's Richmond Times-Dispatch that the rapper will "definitely" be performing.

Super Bowl Ads Sneak Peak

From name-croaking frogs to a nimble nymphet flipping for Doritos, Super Bowl commercials are often the most memorable parts of America's most-watched game.

Sure, this year's tacklefest could be historic, with the New England Patriots becoming the NFL's first 19-0 team ever.

But at up to $2.7 million for one thirty-second spot, the financial stakes are even bigger for the ads -- which feature celebrities like Madonna, Justin Timberlake and Dale Earnhardt Jr. - than for football stars like Tom Brady, Randy Moss and Plaxico Burress.

Advertisers love the perennial showcase, televised this year Feb. 3 on Fox, because, unlike other shows, the ads are virtually "skip-proof."

Surprisingly, even though the game's just two days before the Super Tuesday primaries in 20-plus states, don't expect any expect candidates to air their differences.

Anheuser-Busch, though, will be back with seven ads, including some zany spots that link Bud Light to magic powers. Being able to breathe fire, though, doesn't make for the right kind of hot date, and x-ray vision proves to be an ability a woman might not want to have.

Bud Light also proves to the mother of invention. You didn't know the first wheel was devised by a caveman carting a heavy cooler to a party? In current times, a guy brainstorms a sneaky way to enjoy a bit of brewski at a wine-and-cheese.

Pepsi, creator of many memorable Super Bowl ads, is likely to tout its "power" beverage, Mountain Dew Amp Energy, purporting that it gives driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. the boost he needs to battle a gorilla or outrace a camel, according to Adweek.com.

Pepsi will also feature Justin Timberlake in a spot for Pepsi Stuff, a partnership with Amazon.com with music downloads and more, says Advertising Age (AdAge.com).

A Doritos contest invited musicians to "Crash the Super Bowl," by submitting songs, one of which will be a music video/ad. South Jersey's P. Oberoi is part of a rap group billed as Nivla & P. Oberoi that's one of the three finalists you can vote for (http://www.myspace.com/doritoscrashthesuperbowl).

Salesgenie.com, a sales-lead service from InfoUSA, is spending more than $5 million on three spots, president Mark Israelsen told Bloomberg news. Last year's red-sports-car ad prompted 25,000 signups, he said.

A Sunsilk shampoo ad featuring Marilyn Monroe, Shakira and Madonna, to air during the fourth quarter's two-minute warning, has already created a buzz in business circles. Unilever sidestepped the big ad agencies and used a Paris brand-planning boutique and a design shop that had never done TV before, according to AdAge.com, the Web site of Advertising Age.

A roundup of many spots can be found on AdAge.com. Some highlights:

Richard Simmons, Alice Cooper and a deer will present obstacles in ad for half-time show sponsor Bridgestone Firestone.

A funked-out worker endures spider attacks and more in one of two spots that Career Builder hopes will get more notice than last year's ads, which scored so low the agency was fired. (Wonder if any displaced execs turned to Monster.com.)

Sony Pictures will promo two flicks, Will Smith-starrer Hancock, about a street-bum superhero, and Adam Sandler yuckfest You Don't Mess With the Zohan.

Disney will promote its new Pixar film, Wall-E.

Alluding to The Godfather, Audi will peddle its zippy R8 sportster, which has a six-figure price tag.

Gatorade will reveal whose famous feet have been featured in ads for its new drink, G2.

And in the category of Last but Not Least: "Victoria's Secret Angel Adriana Lima and a football," is all Advertising Age says about the lingerie line's ad.

Lil Wayne Arrested

According to multiple sources, Lil Wayne (born Dwayne Carter Jr. ) has
had yet another run in with the law. Last night (Tuesday, January 22nd),
Wayne was arrested near Yuma, Arizona on three felony counts for
possession of dangerous drugs, possession of drug paraphernalia and
possession of narcotics.

Details are sketchy at this time but it seems that the tour bus Lil
Wayne was on was pulled over and searched by US Border Patrol, who
found narcotics on board. Border Patrol reportedly alerted the DEA and
Wayne was arrested. He is currently being held in custody by the Yuma
County Sheriff's Department. According to the Yuma Sun, Yuma County
Sheriff's spokesman Capt. Eben Bratcher said that Wayne was booked
into county jail at 6am by the DEA. His arraignment was scheduled for
9am PST and more details should surface shortly.

Lil Wayne ran into a similar incident last year for felony possession
of drugs in Idaho.

P Diddy Name Change Again

If it seems that Sean Combs is changing his name every few years, it's probably because he is. According to the New York Post, the mogul, actor and part-time artist has asked to be referred to as "Sean John" for his latest incarnation.

"Right now I want to be Sean John, because that's where I am," says Combs. "I have always evolved and taken a different name each time.

The newest nickname is identical with that of Combs' clothing line, and marks the fourth such change. Combs goes by his birth name for his film and stage roles, but he has previously requested to be called "Puffy," "Puff Daddy," "P. Diddy" and simply "Diddy."

Missy Upcoming Album

Three years have passed since Grammy award winning rapper Missy Elliot released her sixth studio album, The Cookbook.

With a reoccurring role in the latest Doritos’ ad campaign and a guest spot on Keyshia Cole’s hit “Let It Go”, Missy is planning a new album. Reuters reports that the untitled album is set to release in May of this year.

Two songs have hit the airwaves (“Ching-A-Ling” and “Shake Your Pom Pom”); both of which will feature on the Step Up 2 the Streets soundtrack as well as the new album.

According to Reuters, Missy is hoping to reunite with super producer and long time collaborator, Timbaland.

Ok I couldn't find a regular photo of Usher's Dad but here is a picture of the guy back in a newspaper article from 2005.

Usher Raymond III, died at an Atlanta hospital this past Friday. People first heard of the death from the Chattanooga Times Free Press in Tennessee and that the singer's people have confirmed the death.

Usher, his wife Tameka Foster, and his mother Jonetta Patton were reportedly at Raymond’s bedside when he died.

Media Take Out reports that Usher’s mother split from his father when he was a baby. Raymond is said to have battled a cocaine addiction.

The singer and his wife recently celebrated the birth of their son, Usher Raymond V.

Differnt Types of Classics

In hip-hop many things can be called classics, but how do we determine what is really a classic or a five mic album. I believe we can break it down into 3 categories, Timeless Classics, Classics for its Time, and Impact Classics.
Timeless Classic- Illmatic, Only Built 4 Cuban Linx, Ready to Die, Chronic, Midnight Muaraders, Infamous ect.- These are classic that will be classics no matter what year it is, who listens to them. They are undeniable and undisputable. These albums are perfect. People base their albums off of these albums. When you listen to these albums it feels like you were transported back in time. You see things through the eyes of the artist. You know how they felt and their mind state during this time in their life.
Classics For its Time- Dynasty, Carter 2, N.O.R.E., Doe or Die, Tical, War Report, E.L.E., etc.- These are albums that are also classic but different from the above. They were 4 or 4.5 mics in their time. They are albums that you bumped for a period but then stopped listening to them. They do not have the longevity of Timeless classics. Many of the songs are still hot but just not as hot as they were back then. When you listen to them you are brought back to where you were when this album dropped. It brings back memories.
Impact Classics- Get Rich or Die Trying, Its Dark and Hell is Hot, Volume 2, Black Album, etc- These are albums that were a breathe of fresh air for hip hop. They signify a change in hip hop. A different mentality in the way a young hip hopper thinks. These are the most unique types because impact classics can be classics for its time, a timeless classic or neither. For instance I would classify Ghetto Fabolous as an impact classic but neither of the above. I say this because it started a whole new trend in rap. The throwback jersey, big earrings, Akademiks. This was far from a great album, in fact it was mediocre, but it started something new. An impact classic can signify the end of an era or the beginning of an era.

Peedi Crakk Interview

This pic is drawlin, it looks like he just been raped No Homo!

Why aren’t you mad at Jay-Z now?

Because at the time when I was upset about it, it was when he had me under the impression that he had my back. So I felt kind of betrayed. I felt as though he was saying, “Fuck me.” But now it’s to the point where I’m over it now. I’m over it now and I gotta move on. So I’m not upset no more. At the end of the day, I’m still Peedi Crakk. It don’t take nothing away from me.

It was just an opportunity for me at the time to move my career further because everybody’s waiting for the P. Crakk album and it would definitely be one of my biggest moves to have an album available in stores internationally. That would definitely take my career to the next level and Hov had the ability to do that for me and he was ignoring me and that had me heated.

Now he left Def Jam and whatever the case may be, I have to keep it moving. I realize that my career doesn’t revolve around Rocafella and Def Jam and Jay-Z. Peedi Crakk is Peedi Crakk. When you think of Peedi Crakk, you don’t say, “Oh yeah, the kid from Rocafella.” No, you say, “It’s just Peedi Crakk now.” I got my own identity. It don’t bother me. If I really needed Rocafella or Def Jam to be successful, I would be upset because I would feel like I lost out. But I’m still hot as shit. I’m still hot. And the fans, I don’t know why, but the fans, they still love me.

Why did your album get shelved at Def Jam?

Honestly, to be honest, my opinion is business-wise, I don’t see why you wouldn’t put a Peedi Crakk album out, as far as it being lucrative for the label. I don’t see why you wouldn’t make that decision, business-wise. Just from the anticipation and the controversy surrounding the wait around my album and business-wise, if they were to have dropped the album, it would have been successful. Even if it didn’t go through the roof and was the biggest thing for me, it would have done well though. I don’t think it would have flopped.

I think more personally, Jay didn’t favor putting my album out personally because of some personal differences between me and him. I did an interview awhile back and they asked me a few questions about Jay. I’m not sure who I did it with. The interview was well-heard. It didn’t go unheard. A lot of people read it and I got a lot of calls. It stirred up a lot of shit. When I did the interview, they asked me about Jay being the president up at Def Jam and I told them that I appreciated him more as an artist. They asked me to elaborate and I told them the reason why I appreciated him as an artist was because I felt he was at his best as Jay-Z. As Shawn Carter, the president of Def Jam, we didn’t see him doing what we expected to see him do. I’m not speaking just about me. He wasn’t the boss that we all expected him to be up there.

I expressed that in the interview and he got offended by that. He called me and he asked me why I was saying those things about him. I wasn’t saying it in an offensive way. It was just my opinion. He was telling me that these people were just using me for information and that I should just keep my mouth shit. I think I pressed a button. I think I offended him. I think I said he had too much going on in his life and he couldn’t focus on running a company of that magnitude and I think he felt that I was discrediting him. I wasn’t. It was just my opinion at the time and I’m always going to voice my opinion. But I believe that’s what kind of altered our relationship. We used to be real cool. I used to be able to call him and ask him for advice on shit and he would call me. But after he called me about that interview, I never talked to him again and he wouldn’t receive none of my calls no more. He never called me again. I never heard nothing from nobody at Def Jam again. I believe that’s why the album at Def Jam didn’t drop.

Do you think Jay is really that sensitive?

Yeah. I don’t think he’s sensitive to people saying shit about him because people always say negative shit about him. It wasn’t the fact that I was saying something about him. I think it’s the fact that it was so truthful. Because it was me saying it, it was more relevant and more truthful to the fans because I was actually there. I think that’s what bothered him more as opposed to a critic saying something about him or just a knucklehead saying something about him. It was Peedi Crakk saying something about him so it must be true. I think that’s why it offended him and I think that’s why he took it more to heart.

I think he felt a little betrayed, kind of. But he don’t understand that that wasn’t my intentions to be this back-biting person to talk bad about him in an interview. It’s just that was just what was going on in my life. Even talking to you now, I’m not going to bite my tongue. He could fuck my career up even more. They don’t want to let me out of my contract. They don’t want to drop the album but they don’t want to let me go neither. So I know by saying this shit now he could do it but I don’t give a fuck. It’s not beneficial for me to keep my mouth shut. If we were doing good up there, I would zip it and shut the fuck up. But we’re not doing good up at Def Jam. It’s not beneficial for me to shut up. So why not air my opinion out? I would rather air it out now than regret not saying anything.

He talks more about Def Jam, his album, roots, State Property and beef with Jay-Z
