Outkast's Big Boi will appear on an episode of NBC's Emmy Award winning drama Law & Order airing November 25. "Daddy Fat Sacks" will play the role of "Gots Money," a rapper who begins working as an undercover agent after becoming caught up in an animal-smuggling ring.
Big joins the ranks of fellow Atlantan, Ludacris, who formerly appeared on the show as the stepson of Ice-T's character, Detective Odafin Tutuola. While Big Boi has recently dabbled both acting and ballet, the Dungeon Family co-founder says he and Andre 3000 will shift their focus back to rhyming in 2009.
"Me and 'Dre were on the conference call [recently]," Big Boi said to MTV News. "He’s working on his album; my album is done. We're gonna wait until the top of the year — January or February — to put it out. Then 'Dre is gonna come hit y'all, and [then] we're gonna do the Outkast album. So y'all gonna get three records from the 'Kast next year."
Big Boi's solo debut, Sir Lucious Left Foot: Son of Chico Dusty, was originally slated for a fourth quarter release. The lead single "Something's Gotta Give," featuring Mary J. Blige, spent six weeks on Billboard's Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Arista never publicly stated a reason for the album's delay, and the single peaked at the number 83 spot, before completely disappearing from the charts two weeks ago.

Kanye West, 50 Cent, T.I. React To Their Placement On 'Hottest MCs In The Game'
Kanye West waited a long time to react to being crowned the "Hottest MC in the Game" by the MTV News Hip-Hop Brain Trust earlier this month — but he made sure it counted. 'Ye shared his feelings with the crowd at the sold-out Chicago show of his Glow in the Dark Tour.
"They talk about the [Hottest] MC list," a sweat-soaked West told the audience at the United Center. "I don't know if y'all heard about this. But I brought the Grammys home for y'all. And now I brought that #1 spot home for y'all. 'Cause every time I rhyme, I rhyme for y'all. Everything I do, I do for y'all. Chi-Town in this b---h. Chi-Town on the map. Chi-Town King of rap, and Lupe got my back."
Lupe Fiasco came in at #7 on the list. Backstage at the show, Kanye shared his feelings a bit further with MTV News: "Ah man, that's dope. ... No, seriously ... That's really, really, super dope."
Some of the other MCs who made the Brain Trust's top 10 have also been responding to their rankings. T.I., who was #2 in 2007, fell to #10 in 2008 due to his time out of the game while on house arrest. The King of the South didn't see his move down as a slight.
"I didn't take it personally, you know," Tip told radio host Ed Lover last week while visiting the personality's New York radio show. "I think it had a lot to do with the fact that when they was putting the list together, I didn't have any music out. At the time when they was judging how hot people were, I was on house arrest.
"I ain't trippin'," Tip added. "They gonna have to do another list. Jeezy is the homie. Everybody else on the list is the homie. I tip my hat and salute everybody else who made the list. I was just with [Andre 3000] last night. He was like, 'I appreciate it. I appreciate still being acknowledged, you know.' "
On Sirius Satellite Radio over the weekend, 50 Cent once again voiced his displeasure with the Brain Trust. 50 was up two spots from his 2007 #8 ranking.
"I shouldn't even be on that list," 50 said. "To be honest, I shouldn't even be categorized with them [other MCs on the list]. It doesn't even matter. Look at the people who are actually creating the list. None of them have made a hit record or [borne] the pressure of doing it."
50 suggested that MTV News get some MCs to help make up the next "Hottest MCs" list. "Not necessarily the artists now," he said. "Artists who have previously created hit records, that understand the art form. You got a bunch of people who, because they interviewed rappers, they feel that they know. Because they read XXL or The Source. They don't understand."
Here was the top ten for those who didnt catch the 30 minute segment on MTV yet.
1. Kanye
2. Jay-Z
3. Weezy
4. Rick Ross
5. Snoop Dogg
6. 50 Cent
7. Lupe Fiasco
8. Young Jeezy
9. Andre 3000
10. T.I.

The MTV 2008 Hottest MC’s
Click each name to read MTV's rationale.
1. Kanye
2. Jay-Z
3. Weezy
4. Rick Ross
5. Snoop Dogg
6. 50 Cent
7. Lupe Fiasco
8. Young Jeezy
9. Andre 3000
10. T.I.
The top three I have no problem with. I feel Kanye held down this year with the Graduation album hype and the glow in the dark tour. Then you have Jay-Z American Gangster concept album that was a classic. And at third you have Lil Wayne who hasn't dropped a cd but still made his name relevant this year with mixtapes and freestyles over everyones beats,
I'm a big Rick Ross fan and I don't have a problem with him being number 4 because Trilla was a classic album. If you don't have it already then go get it. Snoop Dogg and 50 Cent give me a few question marks because it seems as if they put there names on the list because they have experience in the game. Snoop cd flopped and he didn't have a second single that catch our attention. 50 cent have I get money and a cd that flopped.
Then you have Lupe and Jeezy who I have no problem with only if they were above Snoop and 50.
Andre 3000? It seems like every time you mention his name people give you the "he nice as shit". I'm still stuck on the he hasn't dropped a mixtape or album since his Idlewild soundtrack and his cartoon soundtrack. But was his verse from UGK International Players Anthem and Lloyd's cd that good if he is still talked about in 2008 and both singles dropped in 2006-2007ish.
Why is T.I. number 10 when you have Snoop and 50 Cent and Andre 3000 on the list. Not to discredit them but Big Shit Poppin was a bigger hit then Sensual Seduction and any verse Andre 300 put out and maybe on the same level as I get money.
Who should have made the list?
Fabolous, I mean why not he is one of the most relevant rappers out nowadays. Even though his last cd wasn't the best cd in the whole wide world, Fab continues to keep himself amongst the elite. Whenever he drops a mixtape its crazy and he caters to the hood even though he albums don't.
Soulja Boy, I mean hate on him if you want but his cd was ok and he will always be remembered as the 16 year old who made one of the biggiest songs of the year from his Sidekick 3 and had the biggiest dance of the year. I mean as far as video plays on the mainstream tv, youtube views, ringtones sold, kids doing his dance, Soulja Boy has touched alot of people this year. Not a MC but everyone knows his name no matter what neighborhood your in.
Game, I know his cd didn't drop in this time period but he has to be in a top 10 list. He has helped put the West Coast on the map once again. One Blood was roughly two summers ago but it was a car banger when it did drop. And now he has Dreams and the Pain singles doing good on the airwaves.
Ludacris dropped money maker which was a great single and you will never waste money on a Ludacris cd because he always has those 2 or 3 hits on the cd that he never made a video for.
