Bob Marley's Wife Wants Lauryn Hill To Play Her In Husband’s Movie
Rita Marley, the wife of the late legendary reggae singer Bob Marley, recently revealed that she wants Lauryn Hill to play her in her husband's biopic. Rita, who will be producing the movie, tells The Hollywood Reporter that if she has her way, the former Fugees' first lady would be portraying her.
“Lauryn would be ideal [to play me]” said Rita. “She sees my life as her life.”
Lauryn is married to Marley's son, Rohan. The couple have four children together. The Marley biopic, which is scheduled to be released in late 2009.
Marley will be portrayed by two actors in the film, one playing him as a teenager and an adult. Casting is currently underway and Rita has hinted that her grandson Stefan, who she describes as a “spitting image of Bob”, would be a perfect candidate.
Rudy Langlais, the movie's producer, said all cas ting decisions will be made later this year.

Lauren Hill broke?
Sources at fox news say Hill was living in the Caribbean for a while as the mother of four children by Rohan Marley, son of the late Bob Marley. But now, insiders say, Hill is living in New Jersey with her mother — and the four kids — and may be in significant debt. Her only big solo hit album, “The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill,” was released 10 years ago, if you can believe it.
