Alicia Keys is Getting Married

Rumor has it singer Alicia Keys will marry her music producer boyfriend Kerry "Krucial" Brothers this summer.

Star magazine reports the couple has already booked the Oheka Castle on Long Island. The wedding will reportedly happen July 4.

The castle also confirms a wedding will take place that weekend but won't confirm the names of the bride and groom.

Representatives for the couple will not confirm or deny the news of the nuptials but I have a friend who knows somebody who knows somebody that has confirmed the upcoming marriage.

I am just happy she isnt gay and happy someone is tapping that.

Alicia Keys Calls Gangsta Rap a Conspiracy

Alicia Keys is taking a political turn, as she explains in a recent interview with Blender magazine that gangsta rap "was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. 'Gangsta rap' didn't exist."

The singer also allegedly has also been reading several Black Panther autobiographies, and wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck "to symbolize strength, power and killing 'em dead."

In the interview, which hits newsstands on Tuesday (April 15), Keys also explains that the deaths of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. were the result of the government's actions. The Grammy Award-winner believes that East coast/West coast feud was fueled "by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing."

The singer, who now intends to write more political songs, also noted that if black leaders of the past "had the outlets our musicians have today, it'd be global. I have to figure out a way to do it myself."

Sound Scan Numbers

I wasn’t even impressed by Alica Key’s cd the first time I heard it but me and Mmy girl agree that it has to grow on you, with a few spins in the car everyday or so. But she has managed to sell 2.7 million records as of this week (Beyonce is at 3 mil, Akon 2.8). R&B has taken over with Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, & Keyshia Cole going platinum (Rihanna almost there). Some good R&B artist however are struggling, like The Dream(150k), Trey Songz(220), and Mario(168k).

As far as rap goes, Jigga is almost platinum, Kanye is almost 2x plat, 50 Cent is at 1.2 mil, Soulja Boy has sold over 700k, Common went gold, Timbaland is plat, Plies is over 400k, Lupe & Bow Wow & Omarion are over 250k.
