Floyd Mayweather Signs Freck Billionaire/ Freck 100 Bars

Philadelphia rapper Freck Billionaire has signed on to work with music label Philthy Rich Records. Besides giving him the benefits of a solo artist, the deal, spearheaded by the label's founder Floyd Mayweather, Jr., will make Freck co-CEO, and will give him the opportunity to promote his own label, CBL Entertainment Worldwide.

Although Freck has had multiple run-ins with the law, including being arrested 19 times in less than four years, and an arrest for allegedly selling crack this past March, Mayweather is excited to have him on the team.

"What [Freck] raps about is what we really living. Because we're family, we're one family."

In addition to signing the deal, Billionaire is also in the process of recording an album with Street Family, a group that will consist of Fabolous, Red Cafe, Paul Cain, and himself. Their debut album is scheduled for release sometime in early 2009 on the Island Def Jam Music Group.

Freck Billionaire Arrested For Selling Crack

One-time HipHopSince1987 featured artist Freck Billionaire [click here to read feature...] was arrested earlier this week in northern New Jersey for reportedly selling crack cocaine to an undercover police officer.

Based out of West Philadelphia (where Freck had existing warrants), the rapper had garnered attention being under the tutelage of Just Blaze. Through Desert Storm Entertainment, Freck had collaborated with the likes of DJ Clue and Fabolous, with whom Freck appeared on the bonus song to From Nothin' to Somethin' "This Is Family" alongside various Street Fam members.

Previously, Freck mentioned that he had been arrested 19 times in less than four years. With a bail set at $150,000, if found guilty, the rapper faces felony time in prison. Publicists have yet to release a statement on the incident.

Freck The Billionaire

Whats his story?

It's winter 2002 and Freck was on his daily routine: hit the corner of West Philly with four and half ounces of coke in his pocket, wait for his associates, collect money then pass off the "work". But on this particular day something was different, wrong even. Freck's associates were over ten minutes late. Since there's a first time for everything a super confident Freck shrugged off the tardiness and passed time by talking to the neighborhood females, and collecting their phone numbers. After jotting down a couple of digits Freck looked up and saw cop cars, detectives, and vans all advancing in his direction. "I tossed the coke and ran". There were better days...

What makes him so special?

From the age of 18 to 22, Freck was arrested 19 times. Freck's last arrest (19 months) which was his longest stint in prison would prove life altering. While incarcerated a female who sought to cheer Freck up mailed him issue after of issue of a magazine she knew Freck would fancy. Obviously any man locked in the bing would normally receive Playboy, Hustler, or Black Tail but not Freck. Aware of his impeccable taste she sent him a luxury magazine for millionaire's Freck often read named The Robb Report. A mesmerized Freck studied each and every page. The magazine became Freck's new inspiration. Freck adopted a new moniker: Freck The Billionaire.

Finally two weeks after serving his sentence in CFCF Freck's cell mate had a male R&B artist he was bringing to shop to Track Masters. Freck just went along for the ride to New York City. As they listened to the demo they got to a song that featured a rapper. Tone from Track Masters was like "niggas coming up from Philly, they hot". So Freck's friend said "my man right here, he crazy". Tone looked at Freck and said "you hot?" and Freck said "nigga, is your beats hot?" After Freck rapped it was history; Jermaine Dupri, LA Reid, Arista Records, record deal, $100,000 advance.

Everything was lovely; a feature on Tamia's album. Everything was going smooth; recording with the likes of Foxy Brown and Omarion. Cruising at 100 miles per hour in that new Bentley GT, until BOOM! The Titanic hit the iceberg. Arista record label behemoth L.A. Reid was fired after what seemed to be an amazing year of success after success. Freck survived the wreck but it was like going through rehab. The young star was still recording, still doing his thing, but things were coming to a grinding halt. It was here that Freck met Jice of Sizzle Records. There's gotta be a future....

So where is he now?

Now that the Trackmaster deal was mutually dissolved, Freck was faced with a huge decision. It was here at the crossroads, that young JiCE approached Freck with the idea of building the project and street buzz before approaching opportunities that await newly released "free agents" in the off season. Freck chose to ink with the fledgling Sizzle Records and the rest is the future. It was this idea of "build it and they will come" that paved the way to this collection of future mixtape masterpieces and album classics. With the Billionaire mentality, full of confidence, wit, and conviction, Freck skillfully bridges the gap between "the block and the yacht". Songs like the Baby Boy produced "Cook It" paint vivid pictures of Philadelphia's inner city landscape and graphically shows you what can happen to ambitious youth without a creative outlet available. Then you have the clever yet playful Just Blaze produced "Break You Off" featuring Fabolous, which shows you a brighter side of life. Here Freck describes a night of fun in the club, and the cat and mouse pursuit of flirtatious females playing hard to get. Now that Freck Billionaire's street opus "A Fistful Of Dollars" narrated by mixtape king DJ Clue is flooding the streets of his home state of Pennsylvania and abroad, the lead single and video for "Cook It" is blazing radio and TV, it's only a matter time before the majors come calling. Finally you can forget the beefs, the dramas, and the artist's who get situations because of their super human stories, but have no music. There is an artist's artist, a fan favorite whose music speaks for itself and his name is Freck The Billionaire.
