Jennifer Lopez To Get Reality Show
Stepping out of the music and film spotlight, Jennifer Lopez will try her hand as executive producer and star of her documentary series showcasing her life within the music industry, being a new mother of twins, and running a fragrance line.
Although a name and date for production has yet to be determined, the show will air on The Learning Channel (TLC). Speaking on her personal expectations for what the series will deliver, Lopez confessed her delight for the show.
“I think it’ll be something very exciting,” she said in a presentation to advertisers in Manhattan on Wednesday. “I’m looking forward to sharing this exciting journey,” she added.
TLC President Angela Shapiro-Mathes also shared her thoughts about the upcoming series.
“[The show] will deliver a slice of [Jennifer’s] life that audiences have never seen before, as she takes her career and launches a new fragrance while trying to juggle her new responsibilities as a first-time mom,” she said.
Despite the commercial sensationalism found in many popular reality-based programs, Shapiro-Mathes believes the show will feature Jennifer as a role model for viewers.
“Jennifer is unbelievably passionate about life and will be an incredible role model for our audience,” she concluded.
Jennifer Lopez and husband Marc Anthony recently welcomed twins in to their lives as the singer/actress gave birth to her first children on February 22nd, 2008.

Kanye West & Lil Wayne To Headline Summer Jam 2008
It’s only April but things are already heating up for Summer.
During Angie Martinez’s radio show today, she announced Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2008 line-up. Headlining the night will be Kanye West and Lil Wayne, both present at last years Summer Jam. Lil Wayne was a headliner, while Kanye came on stage alongside Swizz Beatz’ to have a little beat battle.
Two-thirds of D-Block (Sheek Louch and Styles P) will perform sans Jadakiss, and NY’s own hip-hop/rock fusion group Gym Class Heroes have been confirmed as well. This will be their first Summer Jam performance.
R&B acts will be well represented also. T-Pain, Ray J, Rihanna, Yung Berg and The Dream will take the stage where we could possibly see collaborations of their hit singles. Also announced was a special reunited performance from Public Enemy. Of course, we can expect several other guest appearances on stage as we saw last year (which included Diddy, Keyshia Cole, Lil’ Kim and Bone Thugs).
Presale tickets are already available at ticketmaster.com. Hot 97’s Summer Jam will take place June 1st at Giants Stadium.

Remy Ma Expected To Get 3-5 Years In Prison
Remy Ma, originally set to be sentenced to prison on April 23, is now apparently due to be sentenced May 13.
According to AllHipHop.com, although Remy faces up to 25 years in prison, sources said that she is expected only to received three to five years in prison.
The rapper, who was found guilty of assault, weapons possession and coercion by a New York Supreme Court, allegedly short childhood friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph for stealing $3,000 from her purse.
Remy's defense maintained that it was an accident (Barnes-Joseph later corroborated this, saying the gun went off by accident during a struggle over her purse), and will therefore appeal the verdict.

50 Cent "Ima Push Game's Album Back"! (Playin Dirty?) Game Tryna Release His Album Same Day As 50
50 Cent Interview. “I’mma wait a little, then I’m just gonna push his album back,” 50 told us last week of Game’s project. “I don’t think there’s anyone that would legitimately look at him like it’s a competition, him versus G-Unit. It just doesn’t make sense. I make money every time he releases an album. He signed a five-album deal. He’s only on album three.”

New Jordan Commercial
I fuck with this commercial right here. I was just explaining to my girl how Mike shits on niggas when he say stuff like:
"Maybe I lead you to believe it was easy when it wasnt ...every shot I took was a game winner ... maybe I lead you to believe that basketball was a God giving gift adn not something I worked for every singe day of my life, maybe I destroyed the game or maybe your just making excuses"
What? That nigga Jordan telling every lil kid that this shit wasnt easy, it wasnt a Gog giving gift, he worked hard for it. So people and kid need to stop giving up on basketball like I did because I felt I wasnt good enough for the pros because you got niggas like Mike who make dunking, and scoring under pressure look easy. Shit only if I worked hard enough I could be LEGENDARY. OMG I bang with this Mike commercial so much. Its not just this one, whoever is over there doing Mike commercials is that nigga because he always has something new and hot. Mike still has the fans and Spike Lee saying it must be the shoes and thats why we spend so much on them so we can be like him but in reality its the work ethic.
Here is another Legendary Commercial

Omarion Is Dancing Without A Deal Now
According to a report at AOL Black Voices, singer Omarion has been dropped from his label home of Columbia Records.
After his group B2K went its separate ways in December 2003, the 23-year-old signed a solo deal with the Sony imprint. Since then, Omarion has released two solo discs through Sony: 2005’s O and 2006’s 21. Last year, he released Face Off, a collaborative album with Bow Wow, whom he had previously worked with during the highly successful Scream Tour series. Aside from music, Omarion has gained experience as an actor as well, playing roles in several movies and television shows.
According to the Recording Industry Association of America’s web site, O and Face Off both earned gold certifications, while 21 didn't. He and Bow Wow’s Scream Tour IV: Heartthrobs Live DVD from 2006 was also certified gold. His record with B2K, of course, is more lucrative, with the group earning three gold plaques and one platinum certification between their four albums.
The report speculates that Omarion may end up signing with Capitol Records if they hire former Sony executive David McPherson as Executive Vice President and head of Urban Music at the label. Otherwise, he may end up at Motown, since his management and production company, The Ultimate Group (TUG), has a deal with the label. Through said deal, TUG/Universal Motown released Naked and Veteran, the last two albums from Omarion’s friend Marques Houston.
I hate that record sales force so many people to get released nowadays. But since this is my girl favorite artist I cant wait to rub this in her face now.

Ray J Says He Turned Down A Whopping 7 Million Dollars In Potential Porn Deals To Continue His Music Career
When Ray J’s sex tape with Kim Kardashian first dropped, it lit the porn industry on fire. Even now you can still see posters for it in the windows of any sex shop in New York City. With so much attention being paid to his burgeoning porn career, according to Ray J, he was getting a lot of offers to do other things in the sex business. He says,
“I just got all these offers about directing and having my own toys, and being a spokesperson…. like 7 million dollars worth of deals. I just turned them down. It’s whatever. I was hanging out, taking some meetings with some real major money dudes, that was gonna show me the way and take me on private jets and show me the world…. I think I made a good decision though. and maybe that’s why god blessed me with ‘Sexy Can I’ to be so successful, and to just say, ‘Here Ray, you made the right decision, do your thing that way, shake all that other sh*t.’”
Dam 7 Million bucks to bust a nut on a camera over his cd that sold less then 100k copies I dont know.

Young Buck A Drug Addict? 50 Cent Says So...
With Young Buck being recently ousted from G-Unit, a war of words seems to be ensuing, with 50 Cent leading the charge. In a recent interview with MTV, Fif alluded to Young Buck having a drug problem.
"Buck's probably high right now," he said, mentioning that he heard that Buck had used cocaine and the now infamous “syrup.” 50 went on to further elaborate, all but calling the Tennessee MC an addict.
"He doesn't even get high anymore — he just maintains his [high]. You have to get sober to be high," 50 said. "When they say, 'Party like a rock star,' he goes beyond what they are talking about. Multiple, different shit." The two remaining members of G-Unit—Tony Yayo and Lloyd Banks—also weighed in on Buck’s departure, revealing that the agreement to kick Buck out of the group was unanimous.
"We feel the same way," Banks said. "If 50 gets resistance, we get the same resistance." Tony Yayo had more to say, and seemed to stop short of saying that Buck—who had been speaking out about his discontent with G-Unit—betrayed 50. "50 took him and made him who he is today," Tony Yayo said. "Where I'm from, you don't bite the hands that feed you. I just get confused. I just remember not having nothing. I never will bite the hand that feeds me."
This beef will more than likely make it to wax, with 50 saying that a dis track from Young Buck is “inevitable.” G-Unit is currently at work on their follow up to Beg For Mercy, tentatively titled T.O.S. (Terminate On Site). Young Buck will make an appearance on the album.

What Is The Cost Of A Lil Wayne Guest Spot?
As the hype continues to build towards Lil Wayne’s upcoming The Carter III, the accolades continue to come for Weezy as well.
Rolling Stone recently named Wayne “Best MC” in their Best of Rock 2008 issue. While it may be no surprise to many, it is what a Wayne guest appearance goes for these days that may shock people.
According to the feature, a verse from Weezy goes for $100k on average. The lowest Wayne will go to serve a hot sixteen? $75k. "But nothing less!" Wayne says to the mag. "I wouldn't do a song for my sister for less than $75,000."
In the meanwhile, Wayne’s album is now staring at a June release date. The reason for the delay seems to be that Wayne is still recording new material. He also has been learning to play guitar (he recently played on Enrique Inglesias’ “Push”) and taking online classes at the University of Phoenix for a psychology degree.
Lil Wayne's The Carter III is due out June 10th on Universal/Cash Money.

Slim Thug Plans To Be Off Of Interscope Within The Week
After his generally well-received debut Already Platinum only went gold, Slim Thug was not pleased. After all, the Houston rapper was able to sell, on a consistent basis, hundreds of thousands of records by himself throughout the South -- before signing to a major.
"I thought it should have went way farther," he had said, in a 2006 interview with MTV News. "I was an independent artist that did all the work myself. Once I signed a major deal, I kind of felt like, 'I'm signed to a major label, oh, they gonna do all the work now.' "
The rapper sat down again with MTV News to discuss what has come of these revelations. According to Slim Thug, he plans to be off of Star Trak/Geffen/Interscope by the end of the week, and plans to release his next solo project independently. "If I'm supposed to be the muthafucking boss, then I should be putting my [own] shit out," he said.
"I sat down with the general manager. Really, I just sat down and told them, 'Y'all over here don't understand the type of music I do, and y'all hold me back while y'all trying to get your situation together. I ain't really got that time to sit on the sideline while you do this. Let me pay y'all. Y'all gave me all this money. Listen, I'll give y'all some money off the new album.'" He continued, "I just can't sit on the sideline while they do their sh--. He sat down with [Interscope Chairman] Jimmy [Iovine], and we all came up with something we could all agree with. It ain't no hard feelings."
His upcoming album title now seems all-too appropriate - Boss of All Bosses. "It's gonna be different. You gonna hear a lot more Houston records," says Slim Thug of the new album. "The feedback I got from my fans [about the] last album was that they wanted to hear a lot more Houston records. So I worked with people out of Houston, a bunch of producers I came up with. I did, like, 30 songs with these cats, so I really got the album done. I'm gonna get, like, two from Pharrell [Williams] and maybe work with a few other big producers, but keep it Houston."
Also coming up for Slim Thug is a project from Tha Boss Hogg Outlawz, who are releasing their second project through Koch Records.

Alicia Keys Calls Gangsta Rap a Conspiracy
Alicia Keys is taking a political turn, as she explains in a recent interview with Blender magazine that gangsta rap "was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. 'Gangsta rap' didn't exist."
The singer also allegedly has also been reading several Black Panther autobiographies, and wears a gold AK-47 pendant around her neck "to symbolize strength, power and killing 'em dead."
In the interview, which hits newsstands on Tuesday (April 15), Keys also explains that the deaths of Tupac and The Notorious B.I.G. were the result of the government's actions. The Grammy Award-winner believes that East coast/West coast feud was fueled "by the government and the media, to stop another great black leader from existing."
The singer, who now intends to write more political songs, also noted that if black leaders of the past "had the outlets our musicians have today, it'd be global. I have to figure out a way to do it myself."

Hip Hop Saved My Life Based On Slim Thug says Lupe
“It is based on Slim Thug,” Lupe revealed. “I was with him when we shot the video, and he was like, ‘Yo, is this song about me?’ I didn’t know at the time, but there was a situation in Houston where they were trying to figure out who the song was about. Was it about Slim Thug? Was it about Chamillionaire? And it was about Slim Thug, but [then] I dedicated the song to Bun. I called him up and said, ‘Yo, Bun, I’ve got a song for you, check it out,’ and he was the first person to hear it. I sent it to him and he was like, ‘Yo, it’s all good.’ "

Bobby Valentino Leaves Def Jam & DTP
First off, thanks for my boy DJ Booth for passing this along. In a shocking twist, Bobby Valentino expressed the notion that he has departed ways from both Def Jam and his long time label, Disturbing the Peace.
“The decision to leave [the label] was totally mine,” said Valentino. “I sat down with Ludacris and Chaka Zulu, and I explained to them that it was time for me to venture out on my own. They had no problem with it; they are cool with it, no beef at all.”
Is any broken relationship with a label really amicable? Valentino told Booth that he was frustrated with the constant delays for his latest album, "Special Occasion" - which, in turn, led to poor album sales.
This is also a shocking revelation considering he was slated to drop an EP called "Come With Me" in the coming weeks. The disc would have contained the radio-friendly song "Your Smile," which features Mr. Lollipop himself, Lil Wayne.
In my opinion there's ALWAYS more that has gone on behind the scenes than an artist would like to share, but I guess we'll never know until we hit that juncture. Bobby V. and Luda have been a great team over the years...hope they can reconnect on some future projects, regardless of label status.

Plies Sued For $10 Million
Rapper Plies, born Algernod Washington, is one of several defendants in a lawsuit filed by five attendees at a 2006 Plies show.
The five plaintiffs were injured during a shooting at the show, and are seeking $10 million in damages.
"If they're suing Mr. Washington, they're suing the wrong person, "said attorney Robert Rush to the Gainesville Sun. "He does not have legal liability. It is not an entertainer's job to provide security for a club where the entertainer is performing."
Plies' record label, Slip-N-Slide, and 283 West, the venue where Plies performed that night, are also named in the suit. The suit alleges negligence on the part of the defendants. Reports indicate that members of Plies' entourage - the rapper's brother, Ronell Lavatte, and Tory Carnegie - fired into a sold-out crowd after Plies' microphone was cut off, in order to let Lil' Boosie on stage.
Lavatte and Carnegie were accused of firing at least three rounds and were charged with attempted murder. Police found five loaded firearms and rounds of ammunition in their vehicle.

T.I. and Jay-Z News
Despite an epic week that saw him sign a $150 million contract with Live Nation, marry Beyonce Knowles and gross over $9 million on his tour with Mary J. Blige, all is not well for Jay-Z. The UK paper The Sun reports that Jay-Z plans to cancel his plans to perform at the Glastobury Music Festival. According to Sun reporter Gordon Smart, Jay is unhappy with Glastonbury's organizers over his role in the UK's biggest outdoor concert series. Rumors are circulating that the rapper will appear at the O2 Wireless Fesitval on July 3 instead.
"[He's] upset organizers used his planned appearance to hype the event's appeal to a younger and more 'urban' crowd," says Smart. "He was also angered by suggestions his signing caused fewer ticket registrations than last year and the reaction to his appearance on some festival message boards."
As of April 6, there were over 100,000 tickets sold and roughly 40,000 remaining. Michael Eavis, the founder and key organizer of the festival, denies the reports and states that everything has been smoothed out with Jay-Z.
T.I. is in final negotiations to join Idris Elba and Matt Dillon as a cast member of the upcoming movie Bone Deep. Will Packer, who serves as one of the film's producers, tells the Atlanta Journal-Constitution that the film is "kind of a cross between Heat and Ocean's Eleven. A group of bank robbers find their $20 million plan interrupted by a hard-boiled detective."
It is not known what role T.I. will play, but the film could help keep him in the public eye while he's serving a 366 day sentence for weapon possession. Bone Deep is expected to begin filming this fall and released in mid-to-late 2009. T.I. will have to report to a federal prison no later than March 27, 2009, but his upcoming album, Paper Trail, is expected to also be promoted during his sentence.

Carter 3 Cover
I promise you that this is the cover I found on Amazon. I dont know if its between the borderline gay lyrics he been spitting over the last few years, and the overdosing he doing but something is wrong with Weezy just look at the cover. Now if and when I buy his cd I dont want to see his baby picture every dam day laying in my car.

If you want secrets on how to get rich from Diddy then watch this. This has always been a tactic of mines when I play monopoly. I buy everything I land on, and it works. Shit you might not have money after 2 or 3 laps around the board but when you can say no one can get a monopoly because you have a property on every side of the board. Shit the only thing people can do is make a trade with you. Monopolize people!

T.I. Denounces Leaked Song
Recently, a new song thought to be off of T.I.’s upcoming Paper Trail album leaked to the masses. While the song got a solid response, T.I. issued a statement and asked that the song not be mistaken as a part of his upcoming album.
“I just wanted to say to you myself that the record that has been leaked – I think yall are calling it ‘Hunt Em Down’, when I did it, it was called ‘Got It Now’ - It is an unwarranted, unauthorized release," T.I. says. “It is not a Paper Trail selection, it is not of the same standards and the same quality as the records that I’m doing right now so I don’t want anybody to get it misconstrued that that’s the first single.”
He thanked those who enjoyed the song but promised that the music he has coming from Paper Trail would be far superior to the song leaked to the public. T.I. then explains the origins of the song.
“Do not be fooled. It was actually the first song recorded after the big homie Philant died,” T.I. continues as he dismisses the song. “So there was a lot of rage, a lot of anger and a lot of frustrations on that record. It was never even meant to be released.”

50 Cent Kicks Young Buck Out Of G-Unit & More!
What started out as another conversation between Miss Jones and her co-hosts on New York's Hot 97 radio station today [April 7] ended with a surprise phone call from Hip Hop heavyweight Curtis '50 Cent' Jackson who called in to clear up misconceptions about the law suit with his ex-girlfriend and mother of his son, talked about the differences between his real life and Get Rich or Die Tryin (which was based on his life), as well as startling comments about Lil Wayne, Fat Joe and the future of Young Buck with G-Unit.
Recently 50 Cent won a law suit which gave him the right to evict his ex-girlfriend, their son, and his ex's current boyfriend from his multi-million dollar home he had promised her she and her son could live in. When asked about how he could treat his ex in such a manner after she took care of him after he was almost fatally shot [as depicted in the movie] he replied "Thats a movie, i tried to paint a more positive outlook on her. I haven't dealt with her since 2003....she's not a nurse, [her new boyfriend] is a nurse. He's an RN...a regular nigga!" He then went on to say that as another part of the court ruling, his ex now owes him $9,000. "She's doing worse than Fat Joe right now," he joked.
50 then went on to talk about rival Fat Joe: "I'm not even tryin to sell a record... I'm just gonna give u the time of your life right now, homeboy. He got, like, 67k records in three weeks? He's finished!...He's soft, them boys in the Bronx don't even wanna deal wit him....he wants to 'say' that he wants to fight me. I told him the address on the record. It's not hard to find me....they know not to come around here wit that."
As far as the brewing beef with Lil Wayne who publicly decided not to respond to 50's taunts months ago, 50 says "He's smart. I be testing him." But also wonders why Jay-Z chose to not respond to Lil Wayne's negative comments when the two of them were rumored to have beef. "They had little altercations and stuff...wow...Jay-Z must not want no trouble."
In response to his rumored altercation with Floyd Mayweather, 50 had this to say: "Yeah, we got into a little thing. We're both [are] real physical [people] and I put my hand in his face...its a reflex for him to punch...we get into lil things but...it wasn't a fight; [it wasn't serious]."
But most notably, 50 made it clear about the status of Young Buck, who has had a tumultuous relationship with G-Unit for the past several months:
"You can look at it and see that's Game all the way. I was giving him a chance, giving him the benefit of the doubt [to remain with the group]. You can take this as an official notice right here – pretty much you can say: Young Buck is no longer in the group G-Unit, but signed to G-Unit as a solo artist."

Clintons' earnings exceed $100m
Since 2000, the former first couple took in nearly $110m, with more than $20m made in 2007, and gave more than $10m to charity in the same period. Almost half of the income was made from the former president's speeches.
Sen Clinton had been under pressure to release her returns since rival Barack Obama disclosed his for 2000-2006. Both Sen Obama and John McCain, the Republican presidential nominee, have said they will reveal their 2007 returns later this month.
"The Clintons have now made public 30 years of tax returns, a record matched by few people in public service," said Jay Carson, a Clinton campaign spokesman. The former first couple last disclosed their earnings in 2000. "None of Hillary Clinton's presidential opponents have revealed anything close to this amount of personal financial information."
The Clintons paid around $34m in taxes between 2000 and 2007, their returns show. The last time the former first couple publicised their finances was in 2000 - the year they left the White House. In that year they reported a gross income of $416,000.
Since leaving office, though, Bill Clinton has given speeches around the world, as well as becoming involved in numerous business ventures. He has also made $30m from his two books, My Life and Giving.
For her part, Mrs Clinton made more than $10m from her book Living History. She donated all the proceeds from another work, It Takes a Village, to charity. Although the New York senator revealed highlights of tax returns from 2007, she requested an extension for their full disclosure, citing the need for more information on a blind trust dissolved last year.
As For Obama & McCain
Last week Mr Obama published seven years of tax returns on his website. The data showed he earned nearly $1 million in 2006, nearly half of it coming from the publication of his second book, The Audacity of Hope.
In previous financial disclosures, Sen McCain has listed his primary sources of income as his Senate salary of $170,000 and his Naval pension of around $56,000.
Although Mr McCain's wife is heiress to a stake in Hensley & Co, one of the largest beer distributorships in the US - reportedly worth more than $100 million - a prenuptial agreement means most of her assets are kept in her name.
